Redirecting virus and wont let ms security essentials start

The problem with Microsoft Security Essentials malfunction just happened on a 2nd computer with windows 7 professional. The 2nd computer also has KB installed.

For the first computer I reran the MSE as a full scan. This time the scan completed on items. No threats were detected on your PC during this scan.

However, from the past we know that Microsoft has typically continued definitions support for Microsoft Security Essentials for at least a few months beyond the end-of-support for a particular Windows operating system version.

For example, with Windows XP it was one year, while I believe for Windows Vista this support ended almost immediately after support for that operating system. The one big difference with Windows 7 is that it's the last operating system using Microsoft Security Essentials, so it may end more quickly as a result. However, since there are more people using Windows 7, it's also possible they'll continue supporting MSE with definitions for a few months as with XP.
