We are getting Fridays off. So we can choose either the day off or the workshare. Now the problems I heard are that if things pick up, and we actually start working Fridays, if we make more than 40k, then we will have to pay it back.
Anyone have experience with this? I believe there is also an exemption if you haven't received EI in the 10 years prior to this claim. However, you should check this with Service Canada as this may be different this year or my memory of their rules may not be completely correct. Also the workshare program is temporary to help an employer get through a slow period.
